My name is Lisanne Hoekstra, a 17-year-old girl born and raised in the Netherlands. (If my English isn't always correct, that's why.. I'm not a native speaker) I study Journalism and I'm not quite sure what I want to be later. Maybe an editor at a magazine or something in the publishing world. We'll see. I - obivously - love to read, that's just a big part of me. What I also love is writing, so I started a blog 4 years ago. It was nothing big, nothing serious, just something I wanted to do. It didn't really had a subject, but in the first year I turned it into a beautyblog. So that is something I'm also interested in, beauty. Sometimes I wrote about books on my blog, but my visitors didn't really like that. So I started writing for a bookblog, after a few months I stopped doing that and in September 2012 I started my own bookblog, with 4 other girls. I mostly write reviews on it and sometimes I make videos for it. But booktubing in Dutch felt like a huge restriction, because only Dutch people can understand what I am saying. I was frustrated and I thought, why don't I make a whole new booktube channel in English. And I did! That is where LisReads comes in to the picture. Only a YouTube channel didn't feel right so I also made this blog. That is basically my blog history..
My love for blogging is the reason why I started studying Journalism. My interest for writing was drawn and it felt like a good choice for me. So that is what I do nowadays; I blog, I make videos, I read and I go to school.
